A number of club members were competing in the Season closer in Killarney last weekend on the Historic Rally.
A good run was had by Gary Kiernan and Ryan Moore who would finish 2nd overall in the modified section behind eventual event winner Robert Duggan. Jonathan Pringle and Paul Sheridan were running 3rd overall all day before a mechanical issue ground the car to a hault on the final night stage. Damian O’Reilly and Martin Byrne had a great drive in the little 1400 escort to take the class win and finish 25th overall.
James Cassidy with Jane Collins on the notes had a bad start with a puncture on Molls Gap which they stopped to change dropping them 3 minutes in the process. From then on they battled hard to make up the time to end up 5th in class. Kevin Cole and Kaine Treanor would also suffer mechanical issues and would end their day on stage 5.
